Came across this website today and I love it. I used to be an Illustrator junkie but haven’t had the opportunity to play in it as much as I used to. That’s just an excuse because I’m sure I can make time, it just never works out that way. Until I can get back to the glory days of making adorable characters all afternoon, why not swing over there and check out some great work?
The house hunt has finally ended. Dealing with foreclosure banks is a damn hassle. They complain that they have this huge inventory of houses on their hands, and then all they want to do is sell to “cash” buyers. If they were as interested in getting qualified people into the homes they have as they are getting rid of them, things would have been so much smoother.
But I digress… I have a few more items to get finalized, but should be closing at the end of the month. I can’t wait! The home needs some work but I was looking for a mild fixer-upper. Once I get the keys I will get some photos online.

Found this website today and I have to say it’s pretty cool. Just a bunch of musical and random clips from YouTube all in the key of B Flat. I played around with it for a few minutes and it sounded pretty good. Very ambient sounding, but all in all, it’s damn clever.
So it’s obvious, well since I’m the only one who looks at this website, to me anyway, that I haven’t updated anything for a bit. I’ve actually been super busy recently, and lazy to boot. I’ve been swamped with work so I haven’t been doing much personal work and have been trying to spend time away from my computer to enjoy the real world. Here are a few of the things that have kept me busy:
While things are keeping me busy, I’m pretty satisfied with how everything is turning out. As always, I’m planning on getting more up here, but who knows? You’ll see it, when I see it.
I’ve set up a small website for brother Sean and me. We both tend to procrastinate on things that we want to do, and for no good reason, just because that’s life. We’ve decided that enough is enough, and now have this website to keep us motivated.
The website is a concept based from a book I read from a past client called “The Game“. Essentially, it’s a game that you play to accomplish goals you set for yourself, such as losing weight, eating right, painting once a week, etc. There are rules and teammates to keep you motivated. If you don’t accomplish the certain tasks you set, well, then there are punishments.
If my brother misses 5 days of not getting up before 9:00am, he has to shave his head! And, if I miss 5 days of Portuguese lessons, I have to grow a neck beard, or Neard, for two weeks. Lets just say I’m not going to miss any lessons…haha.
Hopefully, these silly punishments will keep us on track and allow us to accomplish our goals that, truthfully, we should just do anyway. I guess life is just more fun when you have the fear of unwanted facial hair.

I recently watched the new Harry Potter movie, which I thought was great by the way, and happened to see this online: Quidditch for Real-People. While I feel my nerdy-ness is pretty high, I don’t think I could ever get myself to actually dress-up, run around a field and pretend to chase a Snitch. Maybe the kid in me is really gone or… maybe I just need a real flying broom to make that activity worth while?
